CPhI is one of the largest trade fairs for the pharmaceutical industry worldwide and will take place this year in Barcelona (24 to 26 October). One focus in 2023 is the topic of sustainability. This is also reflected in Faller Packaging's presence at the trade fair.
For pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging the trend towards sustainability is now a must. Visitors to the 60 square metre stand will be able to find out how Faller Packaging is supporting its customers on their way to a climate-neutral future. The specialist for folding cartons, labels and package inserts will be presenting its sustainable packaging strategies for biopharmaceuticals and sterile products as well as fibre-based monomaterial concepts.
The packaging experts support their customers from the initial idea to the finished product and accompany the entire development process. Together, they analyse the individual requirements for the properties of the secondary packaging. Faller Packaging advises its customers along the entire value chain with partner Uhlmann Group, to provide them with holistic support when switching to sustainable secondary packaging.
For manual to fully automated packaging
Faller Packaging will also be presenting its PrePackaging Service in Barcelona. Together with its co-operation partner, the machine manufacturer Schubert-Pharma, Faller Packaging supports its customers with the PrePackaging Service from launch to series production and supports rapid market entry after approval. The customer has the choice - for every level of automation: to bridge machine delivery times or to pack small quantities, for example, Faller Packaging supplies pre-assembled pharmaceutical packaging for manual filling at the customer's premises. For medium packaging volumes, manufacturers can partially automate filling with the mobile Schubert cobots. For full automation, Schubert-Pharma develops customised and reliable top-loading packaging systems in accordance with international standards.
Another highlight at the Faller stand: The Smart labels with temperature or light indication for the simple and safe application of medicines that require refrigeration or are light-sensitive. Printable temperature or light indicators on the labels increase the user-friendliness and safety of self-application medicines.
