Ferrum and KHS take over H. F. Meyer

Ferrum Packaging, manufacturer of can seamers for the beverage industry, is taking over H. F. Meyer Maschinenbau together with KHS on 1 January 2025.

Ferrum Packaging, manufacturer of can seamers for the beverage industry, is taking over H. F. Meyer Maschinenbau together with KHS on 1 January 2025.

H. F. Meyer has particular strengths in specific segments of can technology, including Can turners and rinsers as well as vacuum bridges, and brings with it specialised expertise that optimally complements the existing skills of Ferrum and KHS. They remains an independent company within the network.

Beat Bühlmann, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ferrum Group, emphasises the Added value of the acquisition for customers of the companies involved: „The special expertise of H. F. Meyer provides crucial know-how that we will use for joint further developments. The integrated approach and the combined knowledge of the three companies will enable us to offer even more precise and customised solutions from a single source.“

The integration of H. F. Meyer into the Ferrum Group results in a competence centre for can technology, which is focussed on the development of innovative solutions.

The mechanical engineering company from Schleswig-Holstein, with a further site in Bavaria, employs around 100 people, with whom H. F.
