The winners of the FINAT Label Competition 2023 have been announced. Four awards go to Germany, three of them to Schreiner Group alone. We show you the award-winning solutions!
For the Schreiner Group it was a great success: two products were honoured with three awards at this year's FINAT Label Competition. The European self-adhesive labelling industry association (FINAT) was particularly impressed by the Film Based Cover, which received two awards - including the overall group award for Innovation & Electronic Printing.
Schreiner Group receives three awards for two products
The Film Based Cover from the Schreiner ProTech business unit (pictured above) was the winner in the overall Innovation & Electronic Printing group and in the Innovation & Electronic Printing - Innovation category. This product allows component housings to be sealed easily and cost-effectively.
The Smart Blister Card from the Schreiner MediPharm division (pictured below) was honoured in the Innovation & Electronic Printing - Electronic Devices category. The high-tech product adds digital therapy control to standard blister packaging.
Multi-Color Bingen wins prize for wine label
Another award winner from Germany is Multi-Color Bingen GmbH for Nero Marone.
Produced using a combination of offset printing, screen printing, hot foil stamping, embossing and varnishing, this is a true combination work. The three-colour printed label benefits from an all-over protective varnish over the black area, which is softened by the partially glossy design in the background underneath.
Two awards for Marzek from Austria
Two labels from Marzek Etiketten+Packaging have also won a FINAT Award. The Oscar label is a The jury said that Falkenstein is an excellent example of what can be achieved with the right technology and a clever converter. The jury sees the Falkenstein labels as the lightly textured backgrounds, which further enhanced the dramatic effect of the illustrations
Swiss label for coffee machine
The Helvetikett AG label is designed to be attached to a coffee machine. Adhesion is achieved through static energy, which is generated by applying a special, self-developed coating to the back of the label. The label is also made from sustainable PP so that it can be easily recycled later. It is flexo printed in five colours and varnished on the front.
Forgery-proof label from SECURIKETT
The tamper-proof label from SECURICY CHAINE Ulrich & Horn GmbH has so many features that it is difficult to summarise the information without making a list of the features. Whatever techniques the counterfeiter uses, this label has the answer. The label protects against the use of liquids, heat, cold, peeling or colour changes. In addition, it is fully recyclable with normal packaging materials. For full information on the full range of tamper evidence, the converter should be contacted. Printed in 13 colours using flexo and digital printing, with three different printing inks and two printing presses, this is a security system that is second to none, according to the jury.
