Flat head for e-commerce packaging

Robatech presents a new flat head that opens up new possibilities, particularly for the e-commerce sector. With the Vivo 18, tear-open threads can be applied directly to cardboard packaging using adhesive. Pressure-sensitive adhesive seals can also be applied to cardboard, paper or film shipping packaging. 

The Vivo 18 enables even adhesive application with precise edge definition and clean tear-off. The Even adhesive application The new flat head achieves this by distributing the adhesive in the nozzle. A clean tear-off is ensured by the negative closing syringe element and the alignment of the nozzle to the carrier material can be adjusted.

Save time and space

Unglued tear-open threads can be applied directly to cardboard with the flat head. This is because the adhesive application from a width of 2 mm is even and with good adhesion even at speeds of up to 200 m/min. The production speed can be increased to 250 m/min for pressure-sensitive adhesive closures. Format changes in the application width can be carried out easily via exchangeable masks in the nozzle.

At 32 mm, Vivo 18 is the narrowest flat head on the market. Two heads can be mounted next to each other to save space, for flexible variants up to a maximum of two pressure-sensitive adhesive seals and one tear strip. The tapered nozzle also ensures that adhesive can be applied close to folded cardboard packaging or existing tear strips.
