Follmann from Minden will be exhibiting its range of printing inks, coatings and adhesives specially developed for finishing packaging for the third time in a row at FachPack 2018. The new, water-based coatings for digital print media will be on show for the first time.
The new water-based coatings enable the preparatory coating of numerous substrates such as films, paper, textiles, wallpaper or canvas for digital printing. They are suitable for various ink and colour systems.
The Colour receiving layers dry quickly and guarantee a high level of Colour brilliance. Packaging or labels can be processed quickly. UV-stable, scratch-resistant and flame-retardant coatings are also available if required.
Sustainable printing ink systems for flexo and gravure printing
With its water-based printing ink systems, the company has Follmann a product that takes account of the growing awareness of sustainable solutions. The water-based printing inks are optimised for the Flexo and gravure printing of pre-treated plastic films made from materials such as PE, PP, PET, PA or OPP.
The system is designed as One-component solution designed. The colour can be applied directly. Because of the Solvent-free no thermal exhaust air purification needs to be installed.
At FachPack, Follmann will also be showcasing its Dispersion and hot-melt adhesives. They do not require labelling and fulfil the requirements of the Blue Angel. They are also free from polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. Among other things, they are suitable for End-of-line packaging, crest erection, longitudinal seam bonding and sheet lamination.
