On 1 June, FormerFab GmbH joined the European Co-Packers Association (ECPA) as an Associate Member. The Saxon company makes a significant contribution to the contract packaging industry.
Associate Members are members who are not primarily contract packers themselves, but who can make a significant contribution to the industry. The corresponding agreement was signed at the end of May at the Hispack 2022 trade fair in Barcelona, where, in addition to FormerFab, the ECPA, represented by Marc van den Maagdenberg (Member of the Board), was also represented with a stand.
"By joining the ECPA, FormerFab has taken another important strategic step towards further development and business expansion“ says Roy Holfert, Sales Director at FormerFab, explaining this step.
Managing Director Dr Henry Drut sees FormerFab as an important piece of the puzzle for the primary and secondary packaging of products in paper: “FormerFab's unique developments and solutions in the area of forming shoulders and format sets, also with regard to the ever-growing topic of environmental awareness and thus also the production of paper bags in Europe, can be a great gain for the pan-European co-packer scene, which, just like the brand owners, must solve the issue of sustainability and its mapping in secure packaging processes. From this point of view, FormerFab can be the key to successful packaging in paper for co-packers, but also for brands and packaging machine manufacturers. be."
