Packaging developers can apply for a special award at the German Sustainability Award until 31 May 2019. The German Sustainability Award Foundation and the Rewe Group are jointly awarding a prize for sustainable product packaging ideas.
We are looking for market-ready concepts and exemplary ideas that Packaging reduce, optimise or avoid. At the same time, they should remain affordable in the mass market and meet consumer needs for hygiene, information and convenience. The following are invited to take part Product and packaging manufacturers, research institutions, start-ups and packaging designers.
Special award to recognise sustainable product packaging
For the first time, the German Sustainability Award Foundation this year together with the REWE Group received a special award, which More sustainable product packaging ideas honoured.

The German Sustainability Award is the national award for outstanding achievements in sustainability. Sustainability in business, local authorities and research. With seven competitions - including the „Next Economy Award“ for „green founders“ - over 800 applicants and 2,000 guests at the events, the award is the largest of its kind in Europe.

Applications for the special prize of the German Sustainability Award are submitted via an online questionnaire. An independent jury of experts chaired by Prof Dr Günther Bachmann, Secretary General of the German Council for Sustainable Development, will decide on the finalists and winners of the competition.
