The initiative brings a network of around 90 organisations and stakeholders from the entire packaging value chain to drive innovation and develop guidelines for the future of fibre-based packaging. The aim of the alliance is to increase the recycling rate for fibre-based packaging to 90% by 2030.

Adhesives are a very small and often invisible part of the end product of fibre-based packaging, and yet an important factor for performance. During the life of the packaging, the adhesive maintains the integrity of the packaging and the brand throughout the supply chain.

In contrast to standard plastic technology on the market the patent-pending tear tape adds fibres to the recycling stream. This solution is over 80 per cent bio-based and uses a PEFC-certified substrate from sustainable sources.
