The specialist centre is testing how adhesive solutions can improve the recycling of packaging.

In view of the EU Packaging Regulation, Henkel is further expanding its testing capacities for recyclable packaging. In the company's own Packaging Recyclab, fibre-based packaging is tested for its recyclability - a crucial building block for regulatory safety and sustainable product development.

Henkel and Smurfit Westrock have developed a new packaging concept that differs in design from the classic packaging in the hair colouring segment and at the same time is compatible with the existing production lines.

To make the secondary packaging of its cleaning brands more sustainable, Henkel's Consumer Brands division is now using its own bio-based hotmelt adhesive Technomelt Supra Eco.

In a joint project with R-Cycle and the Korozo Group, Henkel wants to test how the digital product passport works in practice and what advantages it offers the industry.

Henkel has developed a new Technomelt adhesive especially for e-commerce, which consists partly of bio-based materials.
