Shredding and cutting in combination

At the stand focussing on recycling, the Polyplex PPC 50/120 shredder-cutting mill can be inspected. The machine has a vertically arranged rotor with an upper shredder zone and a granulator zone below. The feed material for the shredder-cutting granulator combination is dispensed in a self-dosing manner with the aid of a feed unit. The feed can be customised according to the task at hand. After passing through the shredder zone, the pre-shredded material enters the granulator area where it is shredded to granulator fineness.

"With our combi-grinder, granulator fineness is achieved in just one step. The combined drive of the two functions makes shredding even more energy-efficient," says Josef Zöttl, idea generator and Senior Sales Manager in the Recycling & Granulators division at Hosokawa Alpine.
