Hovmand presents the „QC3“ gripping tool for its industrial lifts

Industrial lifts from Hovmand are designed to make goods handling easier. The Danish manufacturer will be showcasing a selection of its battery-powered lifting and transport solutions at FachPack 2019. In particular, Hovmand will be highlighting the new QC3 electric gripping tool for drums and packaging materials weighing up to 60 kilograms.

The Lifts from Hovmand are made of stainless steel and aluminium. They help employees in the production process to transport loads of up to 300 kilograms without straining their backs.

The QC3 model is a new addition to the range. The electric Gripping tool can be combined with the mobile industrial lifts „Impact 130-3“ and „INOX 90-3“. According to the manufacturer, a variety of grippers are available. Reels can be gripped on the outside and inserted directly into the packaging machine. Drums can be lifted up to a height of 2.20 metres and emptied directly thanks to a special turning and tilting function.

Easy to manoeuvre due to low weight

In the hygiene sector, the QC3 can be used in combination with the INOX 90-3 stainless steel lift. This corresponds to protection class IP66.

The manufacturer particularly emphasises the low weight of the industrial lifts. This makes the products easy to manoeuvre and space-saving. According to Hovmand, they can be integrated directly into the existing production infrastructure. Costly conversions are not necessary.

App shows virtual operating environment for lifts

To help you select the right lift solutions, Hovmand has created the „Virtual Engineering App“ for Apple iPads (image). With the help of the sales department, users can identify the right lift configuration from more than 40,000. With the Environment scan function the selected lift can even be displayed realistically in the actual working area.

Due to the success of the business, the Danish family-owned company has expanded its Production capacities expanded. Until now, the lifting and transport solutions have been manufactured at the company's headquarters in Sorø developed. In spring 2019, production was moved to Køge - just outside the capital Copenhagen. In addition to expanded production areas, an innovation centre for the further and new development of industrial lifts was also set up there.
