Hugo Beck, founder and senior partner of Hugo Beck Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG from Dettingen/Ems, passed away in May 2018. He was 91 years old.
In 1955 Hugo Beck founded his company and has since developed it into a globally active medium-sized enterprise. Today, the company describes itself as a leading manufacturer of horizontal Flowpack, film packaging and print finishing machines in the performance range of 3,000 to 18,000 cycles per hour.
Since the 1960s, Hugo Beck has focussed on Customised special machines. Soon afterwards, the manufacturer specialised in horizontal film packaging systems. In 1976 the first fully automatic horizontal flow-wrapping machine was launched on the market.
In 1992, Hugo Beck left the company as Managing Director and continued to accompany it for many years as Managing Director. Chairman of the Advisory Board. Hugo Beck Maschinenbau is still in the hands of the second generation of the founding family.
