SEW-Eurodrive is expanding its portfolio of stainless steel servomotors with the B5 flange. For machine manufacturers, the servomotor offers a hygienic solution and increases flexibility in machine design.

The B5 flange on the stainless steel servomotor facilitates mounting on various stainless steel gearboxes from the modular automation system from SEW-Eurodrive. This results in a large number of new Combination options for a wide range of applications. The bevel gearbox (KES..), helical gearbox (RES..) and Sprioplan right-angle gearbox (WES..) series are designed to meet the requirements of the hygiene-sensitive and cleaning-intensive food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries as well as permanently humid environments thanks to the use of high-quality stainless steels. As with the stainless steel servomotors, their Easy-to-clean surface, highly resistant to acids and alkalis. Recesses in the housing in which liquids or dirt could be deposited and collect are avoided as far as possible. The complete stainless steel design effectively prevents any type of corrosion.

The stainless steel servomotor from the CM2H.. series is currently available in conjunction with the planetary gearbox from the PSH.. series or with the B14 flange option. With the addition of the B5 flange, the motor is now a hygienic all-rounder. The stainless steel servomotors of the CM2H.. series in hygienic design fulfil the strict guidelines of the European Hygienic Engineering Design Group (EHEDG) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
