The requirements for quality, reproducibility and traceability when changing formats are increasing.
In order to utilise the potential offered by semi-automated format adjustment, reliable communication with the system control is required for feedback of the positioning status. This is where the digital position indicator SeGMo-Assist from Lenord+Bauer is now also available with an IO-Link communication interface (image). This enables the Simple integration into the system control with little wiring effort.
The globally standardised IO-Link technology can be integrated into any network independently of the fieldbus via a point-to-point connection and standard three-wire cabling. Thanks to the centrally stored and automatically retrievable device configuration, re-parameterisation is easy in the event of maintenance or device replacement, minimising downtimes. Alternatively, in addition to IO-Link, the CANopen interface integrated in the device and the standard IE fieldbuses are available as a gateway via the modular SeGMo box for integration into the system control.
