An integrated, flexible and comprehensive system solution from packaging machine manufacturer Loesch offers everything from the first wrap to the display carton on just one combined and compact platform. The Kombiline will see the light of day at ProSweets.
The flexible LTM-Duo fold wrapping machine packs chocolate bars in a tightly sealed primary wrap and a visually appealing outer wrap. A newly developed component has been added to Loeschpack's successful model: Another station, the CMW cartoning module, is used for display cartoning at the end of the line. One machine operator can produce more than 200 sheets per minute with the combi line, from processing to the sales carton.
From smaller bars to 300 gram bars, chocolate can be tightly packaged with bio-film, mono and composite material and aluminium foil. The outer wrap can be designed as a paper label from a stack or roll and alternatively also as a cardboard label.
A hot melt unit and a control unit
The tried-and-tested machine from the Upper Franconian company recently underwent an extended facelift, which primarily focussed on the control technology and operating structure. Thanks to the new intuitive „easyMI“ operating system, machine operators and maintenance personnel can handle the machines even more easily and access extensive control and performance components.
30 display cartons can be produced and filled per minute with the newly developed CMW cartoning module. There is an integrated buffer between primary packaging and cartoning, which prevents product waste when one of the two components is at a standstill. Only one hot melt unit and one control unit with the new HMI are required for the complete line.
The new module is also available as a stand-alone version. An upgrade kit will also be available in the future, allowing older machines to be easily combined with the new system.
