Happy faces among the LogiMAT organisers. The most important logistics trade fair expects as many exhibitors in May as before the pandemic. If there were no special hygiene standards, the exhibition space has even increased.
With an expected 1,500 exhibitors, a good third of them from abroad, and an exhibition area of more than 120,000 square metres in all ten halls of the Stuttgart exhibition grounds, the capacities of LogiMAT 2022 are at a pre-corona level.
„Taking into account the optimum safety standards in accordance with the current hygiene concept, we would even have more exhibition space than before the pandemic,“ emphasises Exhibition Director Ruchty. „For example, the entire gallery space in Hall 1 has been booked by exhibitors for the first time.“
More space for start-ups and live demonstrations
In the East Entrance, the exhibition space for start-ups, which is subsidised by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, was almost doubled. Open spaces in the outdoor area of the trade fair centre have also been activated for live cases from forklift truck manufacturers. In addition, the specialist forums will move from the halls into the LogiMAT Arena with a mix of exciting lecture series. At this central location in the Atrium, East Entrance, up to 150 listeners can follow the presentations with the necessary safety distance. Overall, LogiMAT is once again fully booked.

From automation to a shortage of skilled labour
Trade visitors will be able to find numerous new products and innovations for sustainable, resource-efficient processes in the ten exhibition halls. Automation, digitalisation and omnichannelling, as well as the ongoing shortage of skilled workers, will be key factors in these developments.
The corresponding range of products and solutions includes powerful robots, forklift innovations and automated guided vehicles (AGVs), concepts for scalable, flexibly growing automated warehouse systems, energy-efficient drive and storage modules as well as smart cloud models for intelligent warehouse management, data analysis and control software.
LogiMAT, the International Trade Fair for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management, will take place from 31 May to 2 June at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre right next to Stuttgart Airport.
