Lewa will be exhibiting a diaphragm dosing pump for the low pressure range of less than 20 bar in the food and beverage industry at the stand of its cooperation partner Pomac Pumps. The product from the „Ecodos“ series in the „Hygienic“ version is optimised for use in sensitive production environments with high hygiene standards.
The Ecodos diaphragm dosing pump is characterised, according to Lewa GmbH from Leonberg, by the gentle, low-shear fluid delivery out. It is suitable for complicated dosing processes of media up to a temperature of 80 degrees Celsius in the food and beverage industry. With a dosing accuracy of plus or minus one per cent, the pump offers a high level of reliability. It also requires little maintenance.
In the „Hygienic“ version, the Ecodos is made of 1.4435-Stainless steel with reduced carbon and ferrite content. The Four-layer membrane construction consists of two working diaphragms, a monitoring diaphragm and a pressure-resistant safety diaphragm with monitoring mechanism. The pump heads are made of polypropylene (PP) or optionally of electropolished stainless steel. Their surface roughness is less than 0.5 micrometres, making them easy to clean.
