LSD GmbH und Co KG installs another digital printing press from the Indigo portfolio, the HP Indigo 6K. As a company specialising in packaging development, advertising material and media production, around 170 specialists are responsible for innovative packaging solutions in the consumer goods industry. The HP Indigo 6K replaces an HP Indigo 4600, which has proven its worth at the Düsseldorf site over many years.
"For us, quality is more important than quantity. We have never compromised on print quality. After we have been very good experience with HP Indigo when it came to updating our machine park, the only option was the HP Indigo 6K," says Dieter Hintze, member of the advisory board of LSD GmbH & Co. KG.
Maximum colour fidelity thanks to HP SpotMaster
The company was particularly impressed by the variety of colours and substrates offered by the digital press. The HP Indigo 6K prints with up to 40 metres per minute in full-colour printing and in any print run size Plastic and paper substrates in various thicknesses and eco-certified materials. Almost any packaging job can be realised on any film or paper - narrow-format labels, banderoles, in-mould labels and wrap-around labels as well as flexible packaging or folding cartons.
The newly introduced HP SpotMaster also enables even faster Automatic colour matching with maximum colour fidelity. The integrated spectrophotometer scans each field in the colour control strip and adjusts the colour on the fly. This ensures maximum consistency from the first to the last print, so that follow-up orders can be reproduced with colour accuracy at any time. The even higher resistance of the labels to water, chemicals and mechanical stress as well as the CO2-neutrality of the machine.
