Matthias Niemeyer will take over as CEO of both Uhlmann Group Holding and Uhlmann Pac-Systeme on 1 October 2020. He succeeds the long-standing CEO Norbert Gruber, who passed away at the beginning of July.
Niemeyer took up his position as Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) at the Uhlmann Group on 1 May 2020. In the past few weeks, he had been in charge of the Group already managed ad interim.
Niemeyer works across departments
As CEO of Uhlmann Pac-Systeme, Matthias Niemeyer will be responsible for the cross-divisional management of the company. Together with him, the previous managing directors Michael Mrachacz (CSO) and Tim Slomp (CTO) will form the Management team of the system provider for pharmaceutical packaging. On 1 October 2020, Alexander Schöllhorn will also join the management team of Uhlmann Pac-Systeme in the newly created role of CFO.

Uhlmann Group Holding GmbH & Co. KG is expanding its management team to include the position of Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO). Matthias Niemeyer will take over the newly created position at the beginning of May 2020. He has many years of leadership and management experience in international mechanical engineering companies, especially in the packaging industry. For example, he had Various management positions at the steel and technology group Salzgitter AG, including eight years as CTO and CEO of the filling and packaging machine manufacturer KHS.
Together with CEO Norbert Gruber, he will form the management board of Uhlmann Group Holding. His areas of responsibility include, in particular, the further development of business models and the development of growth potential for the Uhlmann Group.
