A linear solution for the gentle handling of sensitive food products will make its debut at this year's Fachpack presentation by Multipond Wägetechnik GmbH.
Structure and accessibility of the fully automatic linear multihead weigher are similar to the general concept of multipond multihead weighers. The drop heights within the product infeed and product transfer were minimised thanks to the linear design. The fully automatic linear solution is equipped with a specially developed transfer unit. This consists of counter-rotating conveyor belts with a central collection container. This guides the product to a central transfer point on the packaging machine.
Proven concept for sensitive products
The space-saving scale achieves an output of up to 60 weighings per minute and can be integrated into a packaging line at any time. It is ideal for weighing products which, due to their properties, need to be conveyed gently and therefore cannot be weighed using conventional multihead weighers: Fragile and abrasion-sensitive products such as fresh fruit, pastries or coated chocolate lentils. The new linear multihead weigher complies with the familiar hygiene standards of the Multipond J generation and thus fulfils EHEDG and USDA specifications. Its hygienic design enables easy and safe cleaning.
Weighing sweetened jelly products
The company is also presenting a complete solution for weighing sugared jelly products on site. with all specific features out. The key to maximum performance at 200 cycles per minute and a nominal filling weight of 200 grams is the so-called DSE-Q collection container unit.
The container flaps have been rotated by 90 degrees compared to their predecessor. This has eliminated the limitation of the transfer capacity due to product carry-over. The solutions can be retrofitted to existing machines.
