Construction of the building complex, in which the company based in Wolfertschwenden, Swabia, is investing around 15 million euros, began on 13 October. Once completed, the production site will be used to develop the Slicing business unit.
Multivac has been developing and producing high-performance slicing machines for the global food industry at its Buchenau site since 2017. A business unit that has grown strongly over the past four years. "As we expect demand to increase in the coming years, we now need significantly larger premises", says Tom Stachel, Senior Vice President Business Unit Slicing. "We are therefore investing in a new application centre for tests and demonstrations at the Buchenau site in order to secure the expected growth and guarantee customer proximity at the same time."
