Multipond has developed a fully automatic linear multihead weigher for the gentle handling of sensitive foods that cannot be weighed with conventional multihead weighers.
Sensitive foodstuffs often still have to be weighed manually, as automated handling is associated with major challenges. Multipond now offers a product-friendly and easy-to-clean automation solution in this area that can be integrated into a packaging line at any time. The new space-saving solution is a Fully automatic linear multihead weigher based on all Multipond standards.
Linear multihead weigher with special transfer unit
The design and accessibility are similar to the concept of a regular Multipond multihead weigher. However, the drop heights within the product infeed and product transfer have been reduced to an absolute minimum thanks to the linear design. The linear multihead weigher is also equipped with with a specially developed transfer unit. This consists of counter-rotating conveyor belts with a central collection container.
The product is thus guided to a centred transfer to the packaging machine. The space-saving weigher achieves an output of with up to 60 weighings per minute. It is ideal for weighing products which, due to their properties, need to be conveyed gently and therefore cannot be weighed using conventional multihead weighers. These mainly include Fragile and abrasion-sensitive products such as fresh fruit, pastries or coated chocolate lentils.
Optimised dosing and continuous product flow thanks to Argus camera
The integrated Argus 3D camera enables a controlled and Filling to the exact piece if required of the weighing hopper. The optimisation of the product flow results in shorter dosing times and less overfilling, and therefore a greater variety of combinations. This leads to higher performance, greater accuracy and reduced giveaway for the customer. The weigher therefore delivers better results and benefits, especially when weighing difficult products.
The new linear multihead weigher also meets the known hygiene standards of the Multipond J generation and thus fulfils EHEDG and USDA specifications. The hygienic design guarantees easy and safe cleaning.
