The Hamburg-based brand and design agency Hajok has developed a new packaging design especially for the spring edition of Schwartau.

With the three varieties of the Schwartau extra spring edition the market leader supports all jam fans and urban gardeners: with the Seed bag on each jar they can now beautify their balconies and gardens. The Hamburg brand and design agency Hajok is responsible for the new packaging design and naming.

The name Gartenfreund is intended to symbolise the naturalness of the jams and the joy of having your own garden or balcony. The theme Urban gardening is therefore also reflected in the packaging design.

„The traditional fruit and flower illustrations are reminiscent of drawings from old botanical reference books. The modern typography forms an aesthetic bridge between the past and the present,” says Jannika Plaas, Design Director at Hajok Design.
