250 bars of chocolate or chocolate bars per minute. This output is achieved by a new wrapping machine that Sacmi has launched on the market under the Carle & Montanari brand. The latest environmentally friendly packaging materials can also be processed.
The HTB wrapping machine is the result of a new machine design approach at SACMI Packaging & Chocolate that goes beyond traditional mechanical concepts and enables even the most delicate products to be packaged at high speeds with consistently high quality.
Quick format change possible
Users can use the wrapping machine to produce chocolate bars with inner and outer packaging. The inner packaging is sealed on three sides and the outer packaging consists of pre-cut cardboard or paper. During sealing, time, pressure and temperature are part of a continuous, adaptive throughput that is customised to the respective packaging material and product characteristics. Other advantages include fast format changeovers and user-friendly set-up and control.
The HTB wrapping machine has a small footprint and is available in a left-hand or right-hand version so that it can be easily integrated into existing packaging lines. The ergonomic design, for example in the area of the roll holder and the blank magazine, makes it easy to operate. Large, transparent safety guards ensure safety and facilitate maintenance work.
A special, self-supporting frame prevents the accumulation of product residues and creates good access for cleaning. The quickly removable belt system and the special guide units for exposing areas to be inspected are also particularly user-friendly. In addition, the HTB has a self-diagnostic kit for real-time maintenance.
In the event of irregularities, the packaging machine sends warning messages and
opens a remote connection to the service. Sensors monitor consumption,
Working hours and efficiency indicators.
