Automation specialist Omron has been awarded platinum in the latest EcoVadis rating. The company received the award for its sustainability performance.
EcoVadis, based in France, rates more than 65,000 companies in 160 countries around the world in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The CSR topics are divided into four groups: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. The assessment ratings currently range from bronze to silver and gold to platinum.
EcoVadis for Omron: Overall performance honoured
In particular, the company's commitment to the environmental target of Omron Carbon Zero. Among other things, this target envisages reducing greenhouse gas emissions to zero by 2050. It also includes setting quantitative targets for numerous environmental challenges. In the area of labour and human rights, the establishment of a health and safety management system, which includes a third-party certification system, was also positively assessed.
