Packaging expertise with concentrated line competence

With its exhibition focal points, Multivac precisely meets the current needs of the market. Highlights in the food segment include various line concepts and a full-wrap labeller with weight-dependent price labelling. In the healthcare segment, the focus will be on a product-friendly carrier system for the controlled feeding and loading of syringes into the packaging cavities.

The exhibits for the meat industry as well as for manufacturers of alternative proteins include a space-saving line for the automatic separation, feeding, packaging and labelling of vegan burger patties on a cardboard tray in a practical and, above all, material-efficient tubular bag (image). While a centrifuge separates the products onto a belt, the cardboard trays are destacked onto a parallel belt. In the next process step, a handling module fills the cardboard trays with the burger patties, which are then packaged in a modified atmosphere in the packaging machine. Finally, an inline labeller applies a label to the packs from above. The universal Flowpacker W 500 in the company's proven hygienic design is the centrepiece of the line. With up to 120 packs per minute and a film speed of up to 30 metres per minute, this new development is currently one of the fastest and most efficient in the industry. most efficient box motion flowpacking solutions on the market.

Multivac also demonstrates on the compact, automatic TX 710 traysealer how fresh products can be packaged attractively, sustainably and according to the state of the art. To do this, a tray filled with fresh berries is placed on a conveyor belt, sealed in the traysealer and then labelled from above. The tray is a biodegradable tray made from cellulose, which fulfils the current requirements in terms of Sustainability and can be easily processed on standard machines.
