With X-Cycle, its complete range of recyclable packaging, the Greek company A. Hatzopoulus is coming to Düsseldorf. During several years of research and development work in the field of flexible packaging for recycling, the specific aim in developing the films was to convert conventional formulations into recyclable equivalents while retaining the protective properties and functionality of traditional materials.
The innovative X-Cycle films offer, for example These mono-material and polyolefin film formulations promise high barrier properties and at the same time full compatibility with recycling processes in accordance with the relevant industry guidelines.
The latest X-Loop packaging film consists of recycled post-consumer plastic films (PCR) and bio-recycled plastics. According to the company, the materials are also suitable for food contact. The overall packaging design results in a lower CO₂ footprint compared to fossil-based plasticswhile retaining the barrier properties, packaging functionality and aesthetics of the original films.
