Anyone who works with liquids in production or packaging knows the danger: liquids can vibrate during cycle operation or spill over during acceleration and deceleration. Software from SEW Eurodrive is designed to prevent this.
In the production and packaging process, the spilling and overflowing of liquids is undesirable. It can lead to sealing problems, dirty containers and heavy contamination of the machine, which generates rejects and thus reduces the operator's overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). If this is compensated for by lower acceleration rates and cycle times, the productivity of the machine suffers.
Understanding the physics of liquids
A software module with a long name is designed to prevent this. „MOVIKIT MultiMotion Camming addon AntiSlosh“ is the name of the solution from the Bruchsal-based company SEW Eurodrive, which is designed to generate vibration-free movement profiles by intelligently matching the physical properties of the liquid. The ideal utilisation of the cycle time enables production with maximum performance, combined with overspill protection, according to the company.

Less dirt - higher efficiency
In food production and processing, the following are also Hygiene and cleanliness indispensable. Ideally, contamination should be prevented from the outset. A precisely controlled process can provide support here. This task is performed by the software module. It is part of the modular drive and automation system MOVI-C. It is designed to control the movement profiles during acceleration and deceleration so skilfully that liquid or viscous products can be positioned highly dynamically, „slosh-free“ and, above all, cleanly.
This new and award-winning Motion control significantly reduces the degree of soiling and therefore also the cleaning effort. This increases efficiency and at the same time reduces wear and susceptibility to faults. The software module Optimises cycle times - with the aim of harmonising maximum performance, the highest possible production output and operational safety. The natural frequency, viscosity and damping of the fluid are used as parameters in the calculation.
