A machine from Kraus, The SmartPac is a new packaging solution that emphasises environmental considerations. The machine enables shipping packaging without plastic and adhesive, using only paper bags or envelopes and a sealing seam. SmartPac is a Semi-automatic packaging system that first labels the shipping envelope, feeds it to the staff and opens it for filling.
As soon as the goods are placed in the envelope, the operating personnel press a signal switch, after which the bag is transported onwards and closed fully automatically with a seam. A 100 per cent recyclable packaging solution. A further advantage of this semi-automatic packaging system is that it saves around 5 higher throughput compared to purely manual packaging.
