Pharmintech 2019: strong increase in international participation expected

The areas of nutrition and biotechnology, medical and personal care products and, more generally, the entire value chain of the pharmaceutical industry will take centre stage at the upcoming edition of Pharmintech.

The sixth edition of the international trade fair dedicated to technologies for the life sciences sector will be held under the motto „Disruptive. Creative. Innovative.“ Pharmintech is organised every three years by the BolognaFiere Group and takes place from the 10 to 12 April 2019 in Bologna instead.

Focus on internationalisation

The main objective of the upcoming trade fair edition is to InternationalisationNumerous advertising campaigns have been developed and are currently underway to attract players from different countries and target them with strategies to attract foreign visitors. This is intended to attract more professionals from distant markets such as South East Asia and South America to the show and increase the number of international visitors and operators beyond the usual visitors from Europe, Africa, the Middle East and the Mediterranean, who are the main target audience. In terms of buyers, Pharmintech organisers expect an overall increase of at least 35% compared to the previous edition in 2016.

Pharmintech will be held at the same time as the Cosmofarma (12 to 14 April 2019) in Bologna and contributes to offering a comprehensive and diverse range of trade fairs. The Bologna Health Week, scheduled from 10 to 14 April, will be the meeting place for the entire life science industry.
