X-Rite is launching a spectrophotometer for fast, non-contact colour measurement in the printing, colour and packaging industries. The eXact 2 is portable, enables connection to software tools and optimises the work process.
X-Rite Incorporated and Pantone LLC announced the launch of the eXact 2, a portable spectrophotometer for non-contact colour measurement. As the first colour measurement device, the eXact 2 enables the Connection to software tools, including InkFormulation software, ColorCert Suite for print quality control, PantoneLIVE for access to digital colour libraries, NetProfiler for device optimisation and the new X-Rite Link fleet management platform for real-time information on device performance.
Thanks to the patented, market-first Mantis video targeting technology and its touchscreen, the eXact 2 can take colour measurements twice as quickly and precisely as its predecessor model. The high Speed, precision and data connectivity of the eXact 2 help to optimise workflows, reduce waste and free up capacity for revenue generation.
„We have completely redesigned the award-winning eXact so that it is not just a measuring device. As a complete solution, the eXact 2 is at the heart of an integrated colour workflow. It is an extremely versatile, powerful, connected and user-friendly colour workflow tool.“
DisplayChris Brooks, President of X-Rite
eXact 2 is the first and only Spectrophotometer with higher measurement precision thanks to Mantis video targeting technology. This patented technology uses a high-resolution camera and a 30 per cent larger display to make it quicker and easier for users to find the exact measuring range.
The spectrophotometer simplifies colour measurement and can be seamlessly integrated into the X-Rite software ecosystem via WLAN. Integrated tools for process control in the colour laboratory and pressroom support the G7, PSO and Japan Color industry standards. Print service providers and packaging manufacturers can Meet quality standards 17 per cent faster.
