Cylindrical containers can cause problems and inaccuracies during labelling. The shape of the containers makes precise alignment more difficult. Langguth presents a solution to this problem with a labelling application with a high-speed aligner.
Labels are mostly applied automatically to cylindrical containers. The exact position of the labels on the product plays an increasingly important role, especially for high-quality products such as spray cans or spirits bottles. Although there are already systems that label the containers using Align sensors, but these are usually very slow and sometimes inaccurate. With the help of a new development from Langguth addresses the growing demand for high-precision labelling applications in the high-quality product sector.

By means of a specially developed camera application Recognised distinctive points (weld seam, punching, embossing, etc.) on cylindrical containersto ensure precise alignment of the containers for labelling. Containers with highly reflective surfaces can also be detected using the camera optics. This is ensured by a Special illumination of the container, which prevents misinterpretations due to reflections and shadows. Thanks to machine learning, the system can be quickly taught to new containers and also helps to increase the process speed in production. Continuous operation at 120 pcs/min is possible.
