The „Packaging Inspiration Forum“ is being held twice this year. The sixth edition of the PrintCity Alliance event will focus on concepts for sustainable premium packaging.
So far, the Packaging Inspiration Forum always in autumn in Hamburg aligned. This will also be the case this year. Interested parties should make a note of the 28 and 29 October 2019 free for this. The venue will be the Grand Elysée Hotel in the Hanseatic city.
Because the interest in participating has become ever greater, the PrintCity now have an additional appointment in Stuttgart on. The first Stuttgart Packaging Inspiration Forum will therefore take place on 25 and 26 November 2019 at the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin Hotel in the Baden-Württemberg state capital. According to PrintCity, the location was chosen because it is easier for guests from central and southern Germany, Austria and Switzerland to find their way there.
Sustainable aspects of premium packaging
Both forums are primarily concerned with how the claim of Premium packaging can be harmonised with environmental aspects. This begins with the selection of sustainable, recyclable materials and ranges from intelligent designs to efficient energy and CO2-conscious production and refinement.
The PrintCity Alliance has launched a project on sustainable premium packaging that will run until the drupa and Interpack 2020 trade fairs. The aim is to bring the various Aspects of sustainable packaging to shed light on this topic. Both digital and conventional printing, finishing and production technologies will be used. The first results will be presented at the FachPack 2019 will be shown in Nuremberg.
