Marbach, the tool manufacturer for the packaging industry, has expanded its portfolio and is now producing die-cutting tools specifically for sliced packaging.

The tools are mainly used in the food sector for sausage and cheese. For slicing applications the complete packaging process takes place in one machineFirst, the packaging is thermoformed from a plastic film, then the product is inserted and the packaging is sealed with a cover film.

The packaging is also cut to size in the same processing machine and is carried out in two steps. Firstly, the packaging is punched at right angles to the film web and then a longitudinal cut is made. Here a special tool is used for cross-cutting.
