Raja makes flowers fit for shipping

Raja is launching new packaging just in time to ensure that flowers reach their loved ones undamaged on Valentine's Day. The packaging, made predominantly from recycled material, expands the company's range to include sustainable variants that are adapted to transport conditions.

It is of equal interest to both florists and customers that a bouquet arrives at its destination undamaged. Two factors are decisive here: Continuous moisture and protection against external influences, such as pressure or impact. Flower packaging must therefore keep moisturised plants fresh, but must not soften or tear. At the same time, the carton must be sturdy enough to ensure that the contents survive shipping undamaged.

Raja focuses on sustainable shipping solutions

In response to the increasing demand for specially developed packaging in floristry and garden centres Raja on a new and varied range of flower packaging. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and the associated boom in online trade, more and more bouquets, cut flowers and houseplants are being sent by post. The company is responding to these requirements by expanding its range.

The new range includes leak-proof vases, bags for bouquets and water-repellent kraft paper. High-quality and natural materials are used in the selection of packaging. All boxes are FSC certified and many 100 per cent recycled and recyclable. Thanks to the floral pattern on the boxes, they can also be used as gift packaging, which reduces the use of additional packaging material. The boxes are delivered flat and can be assembled quickly. This saves time and space in the warehouse.
