Avery Dennison is the first label manufacturer to introduce AD Cleanflake technology, which enables the recycling of rigid plastic in the company's film portfolio. The new technology enables high-quality flakes to be obtained and resources to be conserved.
The AD CleanFlake technology is recognised by the Association of Plastic Recyclers, the European PET Bottle Platform and RecyClass, as it improves the Recycling of rigid plastics made possibleThis is achieved by either removing it cleanly (PET) or leaving it in the packaging (HDPE), resulting in high quality flakes, conservation of virgin resources and less landfill waste. The AD CleanFlake portfolio offers these benefits for both PET and HDPE plastics and has the Potential to divert more than 200 billion rigid plastic bottles and containers from landfill.
