Packaging specialist Multivac is setting the course for the future with a new organisational structure and is merging the two business units Partner Products, Films & Consumables and Corporate Training & Innovation Center.

The restructuring was prompted by the scheduled retirement of Bernd Lasslop, Vice President of the Partner Products, Films & Consumables division and of Reinhard Ruhland, Senior Director Corporate Innovation Centre, at the end of last year.

„The merger of the Partner Products, Films & Consumables and Corporate Training & Innovation Centre divisions is a strategically important step for us in order to optimally meet the high demands of the market and our customers,“ explains Dr Tobias Richter, Executive Vice President Corporate Sales & Marketing at Multivac.

The programme is managed by new Corporate Training & Innovation Centre and Partner Products division (CTIC PP) since January 2022 from Stefan Scheibel, who, as Vice President since 2012, has been responsible for establishing the Corporate Training & Innovation Centre as a new main area and its continuous development.

The expansion of the Corporate Training & Innovation Centre to include partner products and the consumer goods business, especially foils and trays, This is also a logical consequence for Stefan Scheibel: „Our customers and our sales companies now benefit even more from our comprehensive development and consulting expertise in combination with an extremely attractive range of systems and consumables products from our partners, which we integrate into our customised solutions.“

Multivac wants to expand its network

The range of services offered by the new business unit extends from Packaging and material consulting, packaging development and application technology Packaging - This includes extensive tests and sampling with suitable materials. In addition, the aim is to intensively expand the global partner network in the area of films and consumables as well as in relation to line components. „This also includes the further development of our activities in the area of partner products and corresponding collaborations,“ says Scheibel.

Multivac wants to Utilising synergies, This is achieved through cross-divisional and cross-departmental knowledge transfer and improved communication structures within the organisation. For customers, this means, among other things, that they Single point of contact for the entire organisation when it comes to packaging development and material requirements.
