At Fachpack 2022, Transnova-Ruf will be demonstrating how process adjustments can be easily implemented and format changeover times minimised through the use of robot technology.
The fact that reducing the mechanical complexity of the machine has many positive effects on operation and maintenance is demonstrated by Transnova call also at the trade fair. The focus here will be on an application in which an area of just 3.2 x 1.8 metres can be a compact robotic packaging system for erecting, filling and capping cartons works.
The consistent use of 6-axis robot technology for all major transformations in the machine the complete final packaging process can be accommodated in the smallest possible space. A robot separates the cardboard blanks from the magazine, the hot melt is applied and the cardboard is erected into a tray in the forming station. The top-loading process is then carried out by another robot. Thanks to the flexibility of the robot, smart insertion movements can be carried out. The packaging system can be expanded into a packaging centre for two primary packaging lines by retrofitting a second product infeed.
Finally, a third robot carries out the capping process. Using a cobot application, the company demonstrates the multi-sided labelling of outgoing sales units.
Also on board is the modularised Robot palletiser systemCompact combination tools make it possible to manipulate different objects (cartons, bags, buckets, empty pallets and layer pads) partially simultaneously.
