In the last twelve months, Sabeu has installed three more fully automated assembly systems for the production of FLUXX®-degassing operations were put into operation. The strategic measure was successfully implemented despite the coronavirus pandemic and a further system was ordered due to increasing market demand.
According to the Sabeu company, the packaging solutions of the FLUXX® increased demand. This applies in particular to the product groups of pouring taps and closures with and without degassing systems. They are currently being used in particular for filling, decanting, storing and transporting hygiene products. Production capacities were therefore increased at short notice and additional employees were hired.
New factory building enables more capacity
The good performance of the past period was due to the New factory building commissioned in 2017 in Northeim has become possible. The new plant not only offers a significant increase in space from 4,300 to 9,000 m², but also state-of-the-art production facilities. From development to mould construction, injection moulding, membrane production, assembly and logistics, the site brings together almost all processes in-house. As a result, the company has been able to guarantee the continuous supply of degassing inserts and supply chains to this day. Due to the continuously growing market demand, a further assembly machine has already been ordered.
According to the company's own information, the Packaging / FLUXX® already reached the previous year's sales at the beginning of July 2020. From 2017 to 2019, turnover for the FLUXX brand was® And a doubling of turnover is considered realistic for the current year.
More Product variety for degassing applications
Sabeu inserts are installed in various closures. They ensure continuous pressure equalisation in the containers, which is particularly important for Transport of dangerous goods. The container remains closed or sealed. The functionality is realised via the membranes used, which ensure degassing or venting but do not allow any liquids to escape.
Not only the production capacity, but also the variety of products has been increased in order to fulfil the customised requirements to do justice to the new requirements. The degassing inserts now also include products with higher air flow rates or products for use in higher pressure situations.
