Sacmi presents new packaging solutions for chocolate products

At Fachpack, Sacmi Packaging & Chocolate will be presenting new models of flow-wrapping and wrapping machines for the packaging of chocolate products that are tailored to current market requirements.

At Fachpack, Sacmi Packaging & Chocolate will be presenting new models of its flow-wrapping and wrapping machines for the packaging of chocolate products that are tailored to current market requirements.

Among other things, the Italian machine manufacturer presents a model of the new horizontal flow-wrapping machine series JT Advance which is produced and marketed under the OPM brand. The extensive configurability makes the series an ideal solution for products such as chocolate and muesli bars, snacks and pralines, which require a high output of up to 150 metres of film per minute.

According to the company, the system combines low operating costs, minimal operating effort and simplified maintenance with shorter changeover times. The Film rolls can be changed during ongoing production without reducing the machine speed. The optimised hygienic design and special trays and guards allow product deposits and crumbs to be removed quickly.

Winding machines for double twist wrapping

It also presents Sacmi Packaging & Chocolate will be presenting a complete range of traditional packaging machines under the Carle & Montanari brand. The centrepiece of the trade fair appearance in Nuremberg will be the winding machine for double twist wrapping H-1K, a further development of the Y871 series from Carle & Montanari. Thanks to the servomotor-controlled drive profile of the single-cycle disc, the newly developed H-1K offers high efficiency and more power than previous solutions.

Display

With the „Adjustable Pitch“ feature for freely selectable product dimensions and spacing the packaging machine goes beyond the conventional mechanical, cam-based principles and offers versatile options for packaging a wide variety of products. Users can recalibrate the H-1K as required. For example, a machine originally purchased for packaging rectangular jellies can be converted at a later date to a completely different product in terms of size and properties, such as small, spherical sweets.

Sacmi focuses on environmental protection

In close co-operation with film manufacturers, the company has succeeded in adding new functions to its range. Thus the processing of environmentally friendly films This is made possible in terms of weight reduction (reducing the amount of raw materials while maintaining the same performance) and also compatibility with paper-based materials.
