The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas is one of the most important trade fairs for consumer electronics in the world. At this year's edition, the South Korean tech giant Samsung also presented plans for more environmentally friendly packaging for its wide range of products during its keynote speech - which come with interesting additional functions.
The South Korean electronics company Samsung has become an integral part of the world's top-selling companies. At this year's CES in Las Vegas (5 to 8 January) the company presented numerous planned innovations under the motto „Together for tomorrow“, to make its own products more sustainable, for example by processing recycled materials.
The company plans to use recycled material not only in its products, but also in their packaging. Recycled materials should be increasingly used in the packaging films, filling materials and inner packaging made of cardboard.
In addition Samsung is rolling out its eco-packaging programme globally. The programme is based on a packaging design that enables consumers to, convert the cardboard packaging of Samsung products into household items after unpacking. For example, small cardboard houses for cats or side tables are created.
