The aspect of supply chain security is right at the top of the agenda for logistics and supply chain managers at industrial and retail companies. This is why many companies are not only introducing modern IT and monitoring systems, but are also switching to tamper-proof and easy-to-use closure systems for cardboard packaging.
Many cross-border and cross-sector manufacturers and retailers in the food industry, supply industry, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry now use the wet adhesive strips from Schümann. They are designed for the Dust-tight, tear-proof and tamper-proof closure of cardboard packaging of almost all sizes and weight classes and can be applied manually, semi-automatically or fully automatically (Fig.).
The complete wet adhesive roll portfolio will be presented: the company offers the rolls as standard in brown and white, in widths of 60, 70 and 80 millimetres and in unreinforced or thread and fibre-reinforced versions. The Production of customised special widths and colour-printed variants is also an integral part of the portfolio.
In addition, the closure tapes in the Green Line product group, which fulfil particularly high sustainability requirements and score with exemplary environmental compatibility even in the reinforced version, presented. Like all Schümann wet glue rolls, they consist of a potato starch glue and a kraft paper, for the production of which wood from sustainably managed EU forestry is primarily used. They also have a reinforcing fabric made from natural raw materials.
In addition to presenting the current product portfolio, Schümann will also be discussing the possible applications in line with the most important selection factors for the wet adhesive rolls.
