Packaging specialist Schütz has expanded its product range with a compact IBC, the Ecobulk MX 560. The new IBC has a particularly flat shape and a nominal volume of 560 litres or 150 gallons.

The Ecobulk MX 560 combines its filling volume with a low container height and an already Proven floor assembly. It corresponds to that of the MX types from Contactor with capacities of 820, 1,000 and 1,250 litres. All models in the MX line are compatible.

The development of the new container based on the range used worldwide with dimensions of 1,200 x 1,000 millimetres ensures particularly flexible handling. This is because systems and machines already set up for these dimensions can also be used with the MX 560. This pallet size ensures ideal utilisation of storage and transport space in standardised large-capacity containers, even for mixed loads with the larger MX IBC variants. When this model is stacked three high, for example, a total of 30 IBCs fit into a 20‘ ISO container.

The four horizontal tubes of the flat mesh basket provide the necessary stability and secure hold. There is also plenty of space for detailed product labelling on the large metal labelling panel, which covers eight sections of the steel cage.

Lightweight Ecobulk MX 560

Thanks to its low dead weight when filled and unfilled, the Ecobulk MX 560 is ideal for everyday use. Easy to handle, especially in comparison to stainless steel containers and steel or plastic drums. With its reduced capacity on an optimised surface area, the new IBC from Schütz enables lower capital commitment and shorter service life with low product turnover. This also reduces the risk of the product becoming unusable due to ageing.

If required, the IBC can also be equipped with a EVOH permeation barrier can be fitted. As a barrier layer in the IBC inner bladder, it ensures product quality, protects the filling product from changes and the environment from environmental pollution.

Various equipment options

With additional equipment options, the compact IBC can be used in various areas. With the Foodcert version in the food sector, for example. For highly sensitive goods from the non-food segment, where safety and technical cleanliness are essential, Schütz produces the Ecobulk MX 560 in the variant Cleancert.

A Explosion protection The optional grounded outlet fitting and pallet as well as an antistatic inner container make the IBC suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres in zones 1 and 2 and for transporting liquids with a flash point of ≤ 60°C. Additional optional components include a non-return valve in the outlet fitting. This Check Valve prevents the contents from flowing back into the container - a frequently used function, especially in the area of pesticides. For optimum aeration and ventilation during transport, storage and emptying, a Breather-system, consisting of a stopper, membrane and valve, is offered in the screw cap of the IBC.

The Ecobulk MX 560 is connected to the Schütz Ticket Service connected. The order for the administration-free collection of emptied IBCs and subsequent environmentally friendly reconditioning can be placed online by scanning the QR code on the IBC label. This means that even the smallest IBC from Schütz contributes to the company's sustainable overall concept.
