Mettler-Toledo is placing smart product inspection solutions at the centre of its interpack presentation. The aim is to enable customers to increase their productivity and also improve product quality and safety. At the same time, the solutions are future-proof for the rapidly advancing digital transformation to Industry 4.0 and IIoT.
At interpack 2023, Mettler-Toledo will present the M30 R-Series metal detectors, the first product family with the new Sense software. The intelligent software uses powerful algorithms to ensure high detection sensitivity for all types of metal contamination. The M30 R series metal detectors are aimed at food manufacturers who are looking for an entry-level solution for the detection of metallic contaminants and value high detection performance and future-proof flexibility. Possible applications include the detection of metallic contaminants in dry food products such as pasta, confectionery, cereal bars and snacks or large format products such as meat boxes and flour sacks.
The M34R PlusLine series also includes a metal detector, to minimise the product effect in particularly demanding applications. Typical examples are wet or conductive products such as meat, poultry, seafood, dairy products, products with a high salt content or food packaged in metallised film. All M30 R-Series metal detectors can be integrated into a variety of conveyor belt systems, including the Mettler-Toledo GC-Series metal detection systems on conveyor belts.
Mettler-Toledo also sets a special standard with mix-and-match combination solutions. Focus on the integration of several inspection solutions in one space-saving device, to maximise productivity. Standardised components can be combined with each other as required so that the combined solutions can be optimally adapted to the needs of individual customer requirements.
The new Combination system CT33 was developed for companies in the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, for example. The 3-in-1 combination system combines proven product serialisation with high-precision weighing using FlashCell EMFR technology and visual inspection of the product label and the print template. The complete integration of the checkweighing and serialisation software on a single HMI ensures intuitive system operation. As a flexibly configurable combination system, the CT33 is ideal for use in companies that want to integrate product inspection, completeness checks and track & trace functionalities inline as compactly as possible on a small footprint.
For the first time in Europe, Mettler-Toledo is presenting the new X-ray inspection platform Safeline X2 before. With its advanced features, the X2 platform is designed to improve productivity with a variety of standard and customised configurations. The new X-ray systems offer highly sensitive detection for companies that want to detect various contaminants in packaged end-of-line products. As part of this product range, Mettler-Toledo will be showcasing the X12 X-ray system at Interpack 2023. This is a highly sensitive entry-level solution that is ideal for brand owners who need a cost-effective solution for detecting foreign objects and also want to check the integrity of packaging and products.
