Start of training at Pilz

Young people are starting their careers at Pilz this year. The company welcomes a total of 18 trainees and dual students. 

Young people are also starting their careers at Pilz this year. The company is welcoming a total of 18 trainees, including dual students. 

In addition to the curriculum, the trainees also take part in cross-professional project work, where they develop self-driving model vehicles in teamwork using an open source development environment. New are training co-operations with other training companies from the electrical engineering and mechanical engineering sectors: trainees from Mushroom gain an insight into how Pilz products are used or how training is organised in other companies. In return, the trainees from the partner companies get to know Pilz.

The company offers various apprenticeships. These include: Electronics technician for devices and systems, mechatronics technician, IT specialist - system integration and warehouse logistics specialist and, from 2024, a new apprenticeship as an industrial clerk. Applications for the coming training year are already possible via the Pilz website.

Apprenticeship and dual study programme

In October, ten students from the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University will also start their dual study programme at Pilz. In a dual study programme, the lecture periods at the university alternate with practical assignments in different departments in the company.

After completing their training, trainees and dual students have Best chances of being taken on. Prospects and opportunities for advancement within the company are always available. The employment opportunities, for example in the areas of production technology, development, IT, sales or customer support are broadly diversified.

„In-company training is firmly anchored in our company and contributes to the company's success,“ says Harald Geisinger, Vice President Human Resources, emphasising the importance of training activities. The company has been training apprentices for over 40 years and for 15 years Pilz has been offering part-time study places in cooperation with the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University. Geisinger adds: „In this way, we cover part of the demand for skilled labour ourselves - this is how Pilz grows sustainably!“
