Greif, a provider of products and services for industrial packaging, is very satisfied: its steel drum plant in Cologne has achieved 98 per cent in the „Together for Sustainability“ (TfS) audit.
TfS is a joint initiative of chemical companies for sustainable supply chains that was founded in 2011. It has developed and implemented a global programme to assess, audit and improve sustainability practices within the chemical industry's supply chains.
The audit, carried out by an external auditor on site, assessed sustainability performance on the basis of a defined catalogue of criteria covering corporate governance, occupational health and safety, the environment, quality, energy management and social responsibility.

This is not Greif's first success in terms of sustainability. In 2018, the company was awarded the Gold Recognition Level in terms of sustainability by EcoVadis - an independent rating agency specialising in the assessment of corporate social responsibility (CSR), including sustainable development and supplier performance monitoring. This success puts Greif in the top five per cent of all companies rated by EcoVadis.
