On 25 May, the logistics industry came together in Dortmund's exhibition halls for Logistics & Automation. Around 90 exhibitors showcased innovations and trends and exchanged ideas with almost 1,750 trade visitors.
The 90 or so exhibitors drew a positive balance after the trade fair - for example Markus-Oliver Kramm, Managing Director of packaging specialist Romwell: „We were once again extremely satisfied with Logistics & Automation, which was a complete success for us. All relevant visitor target groups were represented, which led to extremely high-quality discussions at our stand.“
Project Manager Maria Soloveva cites good reasons for the success of the current Logistics & Automation: „The mix of exhibitors from the various areas and fields of intralogistics was pretty perfect.“ Another explanation for the very good attendance at the trade fair is certainly the pressure to change and also the potential for optimisation that lies in intralogistics: „For many manufacturing companies, there is a lot of room for improvement. The logistics chain is changing: quantities are becoming smaller, delivery deadlines tighter and the variety of variants greater. This is why automated, yet flexible processes and systems are in demand. Many exhibitors at Logistics & Automation showed components for such systems as well as complete system solutions.“
The next Logistics & Automation in northern Germany, which will be held in Hamburg from 14 to 15 June 2023. (Messe Schnelsen) will once again be organised as a „double pack“, with even stronger synergies. It will take place together with EMPACK as a trade fair for packaging technology and is aimed at trade visitors from the intralogistics sector from far beyond the Hamburg metropolitan region.
