With the PP or PE-based Pure-Line portfolio and the new FME 20 form-fill-seal machine, Südpack and SN Maschinenbau are jointly presenting a sustainable solution for the pouch packaging of a wide range of products at Fachpack. The fully recyclable packaging concept will be on display at the SN Maschinenbau stand.
Südpack has further expanded its Pure-Line product family. In addition to recyclable monomaterials based on polypropylene, the range also includes solutions made of polyethylene. Both film structures offer the properties required for the efficient and safe packaging of food products in stand-up pouches in particular. The range of applications extends from grated cheese, dried sausages and dried meat to nuts, dried fruit and snacks through to coffee, tea, herbs and spices.
Depending on the products to be packaged the high-performance films can be designed with different barrier properties, This means that the stand-up pouches are flavour-safe depending on the requirements and guarantee optimum protection against moisture, UV radiation or oxygen.
Another advantage concerns the Good machinability of the materials due to their wide sealing window, which results in a high level of process and packaging reliability. The structure of the sealing layer also ensures simple and efficient insertion of reclosure systems - such as zips - which are already available on the market for flat or stand-up pouches.
Last but not least, the Pure-Line can also with that of South pack newly developed SPQ printing technology. This is characterised by a low CO2-footprint set standards in flexographic printing and was honoured with the German Packaging Award in Gold in 2021.
Flexible and easy-to-operate HFFS pouch packaging machine
The sustainable film concept will be presented in Nuremberg on the SN FME 20 pouch packaging machine. The latest development from SN Mechanical engineering is a cost-effective, flexible and compact pouch packaging machine for the production, filling and sealing of 3- and 4-side seal and stand-up pouches. The bags can be filled and sealed with products of different consistencies using appropriate dosing devices.
Modern recyclable materials such as PurePP or PurePE can be used without any problems and without any loss of speed or quality. with an output of up to 180 bags per minute process.
The FME 20 impresses with its proven SN technology and provides a quick and easy introduction to the world of flexible pouch packaging. It is Designed as a simple and economical pouch packaging machine and very easy to operate. The central bag gripper adjustment on the rotary table and the optimised height adjustment of the folding wedge help to reduce format changeover times and make the machine much easier to operate.
„At FachPack, we will be presenting our new FME 20 pouch packaging machine, which expands our product portfolio of simple and standardised pouch packaging machines with a duplex version. With an output of up to 180 pouches per minute, the FME 20 is ideal for medium output requirements. It can easily process monomaterials such as Südpack's PurePP or PurePE into high-quality pouches and efficiently fill foodstuffs such as piece goods, powders and granulates, as well as non-food products and creams.“
Felix Eberhardi, Marketing Manager at SN Maschinenbau
