Under the motto „refresh your packaging films“, ppg> will be presenting its portfolio of sustainable packaging solutions at Fachpack, including pouch and top film applications that offer good recyclability as well as alternative resources.

In order to fulfil the legal requirements and the LEH style guides, the company has developed Design for Recycling solutions that fulfil the targets for national and European sales markets on the basis of PP or PE. Ensuring optimum operability in line with the current technical status of the packaging systems on the market was the top priority.
Illustrated at Fachpack ppg> also with concepts made from renewable raw materials the technical possibilities for reducing CO2 emissions and reducing the use of petrochemical materials. There are also solutions for pouch and top film applications that offer good recyclability as well as alternative resources.
De-inking technologies improve recyclate quality
There are often limits to the use of recyclates, particularly in flexible packaging. Nevertheless, ppg> has been able to place offers on the market, that rely on mechanically recycled granulates for non-food products and utilise chemical recycling for food applications. The company is actively involved in various projects as a partner to market leaders from the mechanical engineering and printing ink industries in order to actively shape further development in this area.
For example, the results of innovative de-inking technologies for improving the quality of recycled materials will be on show in Nuremberg. The High dynamics of changing requirements for sustainable packaging has presented the industry with many challenges in recent years. For this reason, ppg> is involved in an intensive exchange of information with dual systems and leading recycling institutes.
