While sustainable packaging solutions continued to drive innovation in the food industry in 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic intensified the trend towards automation. The Food division recorded particularly high demand in North America, where many food manufacturers have started to replace manual activities with fully automated packaging solutions.
The service business also recorded increased demand, particularly in China. Demand for digital remote maintenance solutions continued to rise due to the restrictions on travelling.
